Foundry Updates Image, Branding to Underscore New Business, Technical Strategies
WUHAN, China – March 18, 2013 – XMC, a leading semiconductor foundry formerly known as Wuhan Xinxin Semiconductor Manufacturing, today unveiled a bold, new corporate image to underscore its commitment to business and technological innovation as it enters its next stage of growth as a fully independent company. The company, a leading 300MM wafer manufacturer with a proven track record in NOR flash memory, has recently revamped its executive team, began operating as an independent entity, and sharpened its focus on new technical offerings as well as global expansion.
The XMC brand, unveiled at this week’s Semicon Shanghai exposition, conveys the global image the company is establishing with its advanced manufacturing operations based in Wuhan, a modern industrial city one hour west of Shanghai. As evidence of its continued drive toward technological leadership and innovation, XMC also announced today an expansion of it strategic partnership with Spansion. The agreement will see the two companies work together to implement the latest generations of Spansion memory products in WMC’s 32-nanometer process.

XMC’s roadmap includes NOR Flash offerings at 65- 45- and 32-nanometer process geometries. In addition it will be ramping up high-density embedded flash, 3D IC technologies, and bonding and backside processing for MEMS and advanced sensors in the coming year, further expanding its capabilities.
