Dr. Simon Yang, CEO
Simon Yang is a veteran semiconductor industry executive. He brings a dynamic vision to XMC as it sets a strategy for global expansion and a redefinition of the foundry model. Prior to taking over as CEO of XMC in 2012, he was COO at SMIC. His previous roles include CTO and Senior Vice President of Operations at Chartered Semiconductor (now GlobalFoundries) and R&D and Manufacturing Director at Intel. He holds more than 20 patents. Currently he also serves as an executive consultant to many of China’s semiconductor initiatives. He received his PhD in Materials Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). He sits on the Asia-Pacific Leadership Council of the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA).
Dr. Stone Zhang, CFO
Chinese Certified Public Accountant. 10+ years of experience in this industry with profound theoretical and practical experience. Before he joined XMC, he served as professor in Jiangxi University of Finance and CFO at the Optical Fiber and Cable (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. Dr. Zhang has published several monographs. He is one of the main founders of XMC.
Dr. Shaoning Mei, CTO, SVP of Strategic Technology
Dr. Mei has 30+ years of experience in semiconductor industry. Before he joined XMC, he served as CTO of Huahong NEC. He has also held senior positions at IBM, Phillips and NXP. Dr. Mei holds numerous semiconductor process patents in U. S and Europe.
Dr. Feng Hong, Executive VP,COO
Dr. Hong has 20 years of experience in semiconductor IC technology development and manufacturing operation. Before he joined XMC, he was the Associate Vice President of Operation in SMIC (Beijing) and of special account sales, respectively. He also served various engineering and management positions in Intel, GSMC, Chartered and NXP.
Dr. Walt Lange, SVP of Sales & Marketing
Dr. Lange has 30+ years management in technology, and the marketing of semiconductors and packaging. He had a long career at IBM, where he helped establish the IBM common platform and partnership strategy. He has also served as VP of Marketing at Chartered Semiconductor. Dr. Lange is a specialist in establishing deep technology partnerships and differentiated business development.
Peter Chen, VP of Corp Planning & Engineering
Chen has 25 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry, largely focused on operations and supply and procurement management. He was a key founder of procurement system at SMIC where he had a lengthy career.
Weihua Cheng, VP of Technology and Manufacturing
Weihua has 22 years of experience in semiconductor technology, R&D and operations. He served in Chartered over 10 years, most recently as a fab director of China’s most advanced foundry.
Dr. Qiang Guo, VP of Quality & Reliability, Product & Testing
Dr. Guo has extensive experience in Quality & Reliability engineering. He brings a strong background of success from Chartered (Singapore), Institute of Microelectronics (Singapore), and SMIC, where he served as Director of Reliability Engineering, Analytical Lab, Beijing Quality & Reliability Division.
Odd Hung, VP of Sales
Mr. Hung has extensive experience in semiconductor technology, R&D and operations. Before he joined XMC, he served as Senior Strategic Manufacturing Director in OmniVision Technologies (SH) CO., LtD. He also served various engineering and management positions in SMIC and Chartered (Singapore).
Ping Lee, VP of Admin Office, ICP manager
Mr. Lee is a well-recognized expert in entrepreneurship and portfolio strategy. He has many years of experience with U. S. and Chinese companies. He holds multiple patents, in both the U.S and China.
Peter Yu, VP of Human Resources
Mr. Yu brings in depth skills in strategic planning, HR management, PR and investor relations to XMC.
